Walter Haag has more than 40 years of combined experience as an Elementary School Principal, part of the Army Medical Department and as a Program Director for Logistics Health Incorporated (LHI). As a member of the United States Army, Haag has 17 years of experience in the U.S. Army Reserve and 20 years as an Active Duty Soldier. His experiences have enabled him to work in a variety of medical facilities employed by the Army, including an ambulance company, a field hospital, a station hospital and a 1000 bed general hospital. As a Medic and Administrator, Haag used these experiences when being assigned to a Regional Readiness Command as the Readiness Coordinator, increasing the Readiness of 230 Army Reserve Units and over 25,000 Soldiers from 32% to 81% in five years. As Director of the Regional Training Site - Medical at Camp Parks, Calif., Haag was able to develop training modules and programs while evaluating the program and the trainers in place. As Contracting Officer's Representative, he was instrumental in the compliance of the contract for the entire Army Reserve.
Haag served as Director of Reserve Affairs for the Office of the Surgeon General in the Pentagon. It was here that he was able to oversee programs for Medical Units and Soldiers as they trained and prepared for wartime duty. Upon retirement, Haag was hired by LHI in La Crosse, Wis. He served as Quality Assurance Director, Director of the Post Deployment Reassessment Program and now serves as Director of the Periodic Health Assessment Program, all a part of the Reserve Health Readiness Program contract.
Haag holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Midland Lutheran College, A Master of Science Degree in Education Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, has attended numerous courses for the Army and is a graduate from the Army War College.
